Mass flow measurement of bulk solids
To ensure a smooth production process, the bulk solids are fed into the process on conveyor belts or through screw conveyors. The weight of the transported bulk solids must be determined for exact control of the process as well as for business accounting. Mechanical measuring systems are subject to increased wear under the extremely rough operating conditions. Non-contact measurement of the feed rate, however, is wear-free and ensures truly costeffective operation of the plant.
