The right mix does the trick
To attain high quality and uniform material consistency in the fnished cement, the raw material is homogenized in a so-called blending bed. The rock is distributed evenly over the blending bed with a spreader. Material is reclaimed in reverse order with the help of a scraper.
Height measurement in the blending bed
Having exact information about the current height is especially important for making optimal use of the storage volume of the blending bed hall. The measurement can be very simply carried out by a non-contact radar sensor installed directly at the dropping point of the spreader. Undisturbed by dust and noise, the radar sensors reliably detect the product surface.
VEGAPULS 67 is the ideal solution for measuring ranges up to 15 m (49 ft). The small and extremely light sensor can be mounted on the spreader and aligned to the product surface with the help of a mounting strap.
For larger measuring ranges and applications which require exceptionally good signal focusing, VEGAPULS 68 ofers great advantages thanks to its various antenna systems. The instrument can also be easily adapted to local conditions by using a swivelling holder.
